As of yesterday we accepted an offer on our house! It was the first offer we received, and the offer was too good to refuse. It’s not quite as much as we would have liked to get for the house, but the buyer didn’t ask for an appraisal or inspection. It was also a cash offer, which totally negates the need for flood insurance on her end and should help expedite the process. We are hoping that we can move before it’s too snowy and cold. We’re also trusting that God will provide sufficient funds for the purchase of our new house.
This is an answer to prayer! Let’s hope that everything works out.
We’re feeling bittersweet about the whole thing. On Halloween, we will have lived in this house for six years, and it feels like home. For three of our kids, it’s the only home they’ve ever known. It will be sad to leave behind the house that we love, our community, our church, friends and family. We’ve made a lot of good memories here.
